Autism Awareness Month

Autism Awareness Month is celebrated in April in Arkansas, along with the rest of the United States. The month is a time to recognize the strengths and contributions of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Support the Arkansas Autism Foundation: Donate, volunteer, attend an event, or join their social media channels
- Wear blue: Show your support by wearing blue on April 2nd and throughout the month
- Participate in an event: Attend an event hosted by the Arkansas Autism Foundation or other organizations
- Spread awareness: Talk about autism with others and help to build understanding and acceptance
- Autism Awareness Month Fire Safety Day: A fire safety day for autism awareness month
- AAROC Zoo Day: A free event at the Little Rock Zoo for Arkansas families of children with autism
- Autism Amplified: A program on Arkansas PBS about acceptance through communication
